Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Pokémon Team Builder handles information. Microsoft Clarity may run in a limited, cookieless mode on ordinary pages before you make a choice or after you reject optional analytics. Google Analytics 4, Plausible, and Ahrefs load only after you choose Accept. All analytics providers are disabled for sensitive team-share sessions.

Personal information and usage data

Pokémon Team Builder does not require an account. On ordinary pages, Microsoft Clarity may process page and referrer information, clicks, scrolling, navigation, browser and device information, screen or viewport details, approximate network location, and session-interaction data used for product analytics, heatmaps, and session replay. Microsoft is the provider of Clarity. Depending on your analytics choice and Clarity's consent mode, Clarity may use cookies or operate in a limited, cookieless mode.

Team data and sensitive share protection

Team data you create or import is processed in your browser. Local saves use your browser's localStorage and are not uploaded to our servers. Clearing browser data permanently deletes locally saved teams.

When you create a share link, supported structured team fields, the Regulation, the dataset version, and a snapshot digest are encoded in the URL. Team names, nicknames, notes, free text, raw Showdown text, local IDs, timestamps, diagnostics, and analytics identifiers are not included. Anyone who receives the URL may be able to view the included team details, so share it only with intended recipients.

We disable Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics 4, Plausible, and Ahrefs for any URL that contains the team share parameter and for the rest of that sensitive share session. We do not send the team payload, share URL, team text, nicknames, notes, or other free text to analytics providers.

Analytics choices

On ordinary pages, Microsoft Clarity is initialized in limited, cookieless mode unless you accept analytics. In this mode, Clarity does not set its first-party or third-party analytics cookies, and features that depend on cookies may be limited.

If you choose Accept, we allow Clarity analytics storage and load Google Analytics 4 (G-8LWL0E2N1X via googletagmanager.com), Plausible through plausible.shipsolo.io, and Ahrefs Web Analytics through analytics.ahrefs.com. These services may process page, interaction, browser, device, and approximate network information under their published policies and our configuration.

If you choose Reject, or if you have not made a choice, Google Analytics 4, Plausible, and Ahrefs do not load. Clarity remains limited and cookieless on ordinary pages and remains fully disabled for sensitive team-share sessions.

We use localStorage to remember your analytics choice. You can use Cookie settings in the footer at any time to clear your choice. Clearing or withdrawing your choice turns off Google Analytics 4, Plausible, and Ahrefs, returns Clarity to limited, cookieless mode on ordinary pages, and removes Clarity analytics cookies through its consent controls.

Purpose, providers, and retention

We use analytics to understand site performance and feature usage, identify usability problems, and improve the service. Microsoft provides Clarity; Google provides Google Analytics 4; Ahrefs provides Ahrefs Web Analytics; and the Plausible loader is served through the configured ShipSolo-hosted domain. Provider processing and retention are governed by their published terms, privacy notices, and our service configuration. Controls and limits

Analytics choices do not affect the site's core team-building and analysis features. We do not use analytics choices to create an account, sync teams across devices, or upload locally saved teams. We do not intentionally send team content, share payloads, nicknames, notes, or free text to analytics providers.
